People were starting to whisper that Adrian Peterson’s 224 yard, 3 TD performance against the Bears was nothing but a fluke – more the result of luck and poor Bear tackling than Peterson greatness. Those whispers were all silenced today though, as Peterson ran roughshod over a previously stout San Diego Chargers’ defense, compiling an NFL record 296 yards and scoring 3 TDs in leading the Vikings to a 35-17 rout.
Peterson’s performance was made all the more remarkable by the fact that, at halftime, he was having only a so-so game – 43 yards and 1 touchdown. He must’ve taken some Superman pills in the locker room though, because on the Vikings’ first possession in the 3rd he busted one for 64 yards and a touchdown, and would end up posting a staggering 253 second-half yards and scoring a third TD for the game. And as if this weren’t good enough, Peterson put up these insane numbers right in front of the supposed best back in the league, Ladania

Chuck Palumbo WWE Wreslter Photos
Chuck Palumbo: Out of the entire members of the Thriller’s, Chuck has had without doubt the most success in the WWE. Palumbo along with O’Haire were the WCW Tag Team Champions when WCW closed, so they dropped the belts to Undertaker and Kane on the June 28, 2001 edition of Smackdown. Afterwards Chuck was sent to OVW, he reappeared on WWE TV again in October when he was thrown out of the Alliance for requesting more T.V time, he then joined the WWF. Chuck began teaming with Billy Gunn in dark matches and house shows, the team started off as a generic babyface tag team, but the team later came to have strong homosexual overtones. On the February 21st 2002 edition of Smackdown Billy and Chuck defeated Spike Dudley and Tazz to become the new WWE World Tag Team Champions. They lost the tag titles to Rico and Rikishi at Judgement Day, but later won them back with their “stylist” Rico’s help. They soon lost the tag titles to Edge and Hulk Hogan. The team became embroiled in controversy when Chuck supposedly proposed to Billy to be his “partner for life” on an episode of Smackdown. The wedding turned out to be a “publicity stunt” and both men said they were straight. The minister turned out to be Eric Bischoff, their stylist Rico turned on them and jumped to Raw to

Nani Portugal Footballer Images
Portugal winger Nani has signed a new four-year contract with Manchester United, the England giant club. His impressive form this season has made MU a deal that will keep him at Old Trafford until 2014.
Nani had been the subject of plenty of criticism after failing to live up to his £17 million price tag since moving to United in 2007, but he has proved his worth over the past few months - producing a number of scintillating displays, including a man of the match performance in the 3-1 over Arsenal.

Australian Open Upcoming Tornaments Details
The Australian Open is the first of the four Grand Slam tennis tournaments to be held each year. It is held each January at Melbourne Park. The tournament was held for the first time in 1905. Like the other three Grand Slam events, it was contested by top-ranked amateur players and known as the Australian Championships until the advent of open tennis in 1968. Originally based at the grass courts at Kooyong in the city of Melbourne's inner south-east, the tournament was in danger of fading into irrelevance before being revived in 1988 with a shift to Melbourne Park (then called Flinders Park), a new (Rebound Ace) hardcourt venue next to the Melbourne Cricket Ground on the southern fringe of the central business district. Mats Wilander was the only player to win the tournament both on grass and on Rebound Ace.
Like all the Grand Slam tournaments, there are men's and women's singles competitions, men's, women's, and mixed doubles, as well as junior and master's competitions.
The Australian Open was held in December from 1977 through 1985, returning to its original January date in 1987. In 1986, because of the return to January, no tournament was held.
The two main courts, Rod Laver Arena and Hisense (formally Vodafone) Arena, are unusual in that they feature retractable roofs which can be shut in case of rain or extreme heat. It is the only Grand Slam tournament that can feature indoor play. However, work has already commenced on a retractable roof for Wimbledon's Centre Court, which is expected to be completed by 2009.Held in the middle of the Australian summer, the Australian Open is famous for its notoriously hot days. An extreme-heat policy is often put into play when temperatures (and humidity) reach dangerous levelsIn 2008, the Rebound Ace surface which has been in place for the past 20 years at Melbourne Park, will be replaced by a cushioned acrylic surface known as Plexicushion. The main benefit of the new surface is a better consistency and it will also retain less heat due to the thinner top layer. This change will be accompanied by changes in the surfaces of all lead-up tournaments to the Australian Open. Work began on the removal of the old surface on June 4, 2007. The decision has been met with much controversy, primarily due to the new surface's similarity to DecoTurf, the surface already being utilized by the U.S. Open.

Tiger Woods Wife Wall Photos
Bill Zwecker writes that not only is Elin having a "hefty seven figures" transferred to a bank account that she controls alone ASAP -- but that Tiger Woods' (what's the reverse of cuckolded?) wife also has demanded that her prenup agreement be rewritten.
The couple's current prenup dictated that Elin would get $20 million if they split after 10 years -- but since the Woods have only been married 5 years when the stuff hit the public fan, Mrs. Woods has reportedly requested a change.
"I'm being told that time frame has been shortened," writes the Sun Times columnist, "and the dollar amount increased 'substantially.'"
Exactly how much their prenup agreement will be changed remains to be seen -- as well as whether or not the increased monies and reported marriage counseling sessions will make up for the admitted adultery's turmoil.
More speculation over just how this week's harried events will affect Tiger Woods' endorsement contracts abounds.
